Turning over a new leaf...

For the first update...
I FINALLY got my computer back working! YAY! So I can actually update again; sorry for the delays there. Sadly enough, my hard drive DIED. Yes, died. Kaput. When I have some extra money, I may send it to a data recovery service, but until then, I have no pictures (except new ones!) and no music. Oh yes, and NONE of my artwork. At all. Waaaaaa! How sad. I have faith that at least some of the files can be recovered.

On to the next update...
Tegan is getting so stinkin big. Ugh! I hate it. I want her to stay this size!! She goes back to the doctor next week (maybe) for her 4 month check-up. I say maybe because we haven't quite worked out all of the kinks in our military insurance, but it's in the process of being worked. She is wearing 3-6 mos. size clothes and it's a struggle to get her in those!! I can't believe how fast she's growing. She can roll over now! Tummy-to-back and back-to-tummy! So strong! and she's starting to giggle which is the cutest thing in the world to me! :)

Charles came home for Memorial Day weekend and it was wonderful to have him home finally! We visited a lot of his family on Saturday and then went to a BBQ at our friends Kristen and Chris's house on Monday. Here are some photos...

Silly girl(s).

He's been gone for almost 7 weeks, and still has 5 left. His tentative graduation date is June 24th, and NOOOO we still haven't found out where we are going. As soooon as I do, I will tell EVERYONE!! We will absolutely find out next week is what Charles just said. Everyone's orders are coming in then. Yikes...I'm happy/scared/excited/giddy/freaked out/nervous/anxious and everything in between. I just hope it's somewhere good, or at least decent. Did I mention it's nice to have my computer back!? Ahhh....

Next on the list...
Today was my last day at EBSCO. It was so bittersweet! I am truly going to miss everyone (I guess I have to say that since all of you guys ready this...just kidding!!) But really, with all of the craziness that I have had going on this past year, it was awesome to be surrounded by such amazing people! I've made some lifelong friends in the process. Today was also Tegan's last day at daycare! It was so sad, one of the girls was crying and it made me cry. But they won't miss her as much as I have the past couple months. It has just killed me not being able to spend much time with her...I can't imagine being in Charles' shoes right now. I would just die. The girls at her daycare made her a photo collage..it's SO cute! It says "Tegan's friends at Little Footprints..." and it has all of the babies pictures on it. How sweet!

Okay, and my last update...
my good friend/photographer/EBSCO creative services intern Sarah offered her wonderful photography skills to take so pictures of little miss Tegan last week! And I must say, we got some cute pictures! They still have some work left to do in Photoshop (once I actually get it back on my computer) but they're still adorable! There are plenty more, and we still plan on doing another photo shoot, but here are some for now... (click on them to see them better)

I just love her!

She is SO ready to be crawling...

Yes, she likes me sometimes too.

Aww, little monkey feet!

Miss blue eyes!

Mother's Day!

Tegan and I had a wonderful first Mother's Day! My mom and brother came Saturday morning and spent the night with us! We went to the Botanical Gardens in Birmingham on Saturday before the weather turned bad. Tegan loved being outside and her grandma is teaching her all about gardening. We went to lunch in Homewood at a Greek restaurant and spent the rest of the afternoon watching Looney Tunes DVDs and relaxing. Sunday we ate brunch at O'Charley's then came back to my apartment and had a cleaning party!! Working full-time and taking care of the little one full-time leaves little cleaning time in my schedule. And we all know mom's are the best cleaners around! My brother helped out a lot too...so that was a great Mother's Day present! Not to mention it was great to spend a weekend with my family knowing we are leaving soon!

I'm sad Charles didn't get to be here, but good news, he's for sure coming home Memorial Day weekend. We got his ticket a couple of days ago. And in other news, I took my computer in this weekend to get it repaired finally so I will be adding new pictures soon! Thank you to everyone for the Mother's Day wishes!

Oh yes...and Tegan rolled over on Friday (May 9th)!!! From her tummy to her back. I was sitting on the floor by the couch with Tegan laying facing me on the couch. She started to lean to one side, and the BLOOP onto her back she went. I was so excited! She hasn't done it again since, but it's only a matter of time!

3 months old!

Not much to report...

Charles is still in Baltimore for another 2 months. He'll graduate June 24th then he gets to come home! And then...we get to move. Where? We still don't know, but we should find out in the next 2 weeks. I'm so anxious to know where we are going! It's killing me.

Charles is coming home Memorial Day weekend for a short visit and we're so excited!! And we are going to be selfish and spend all of our time together and no one is invited. Sorry. His baby girl misses him and so do I! :)

I have 4 weeks left of work, which is very strange to say! I still can't believe it. Tegan and I had a very relaxing weekend! She turned 3 months old on Sunday! This I also can't believe. She's getting so big and she's such a happy baby! (she weighs in at about 14lbs now!!) I love getting to spend so much time with her, and can't wait to do it even more. We watched "Surf's Up" and she took lots of naps, which was great because I got to read TWO books this weekend! Now that's what I call a good weekend. I did a LOT of laundry and cleaned as much as I could.

Next weekend is Mother's Day and I'm still not too sure what we're doing for it yet. Probably going to P'ville but not sure of the logistics yet.

Tegan has successfully battled her ear infection (I think) and we don't have to go through the morning ritual of fighting the oral syringe anymore. Let me tell you, that was a BATTLE!! I had to get undressed to do this because if I didn't, I would COVER my clothes in white creamy medicine. Tegan hates the syringe and somehow every time I give it to her I wind up wearing more of it than she swallowed, which amazes me that her ears seem to be better. Her skin is back to normal finally from her bought with the amoxicillin.

I suppose that's it for my updates for now...
