Walkie-walkerson

Oh my goodness the past 2 days Tegan has decided she no longer wants to crawl. Okay, actually she still crawls a lot, but she can walk across the entire room now! BY HERSELF and I don't even have to lure her anymore. She just does it. Tonight, Charles walked away while she was standing in the kitchen and he went into the living room. Well, here she comes. Walked from the middle of the kitchen to the middle of the living room. Tomorrow marks 2 weeks until her 1st birthday. Which reminds me...good news and bad news.

The good news...I got a job. A crappy one, but hey, can't really complain since a lot of people don't have one at all. I start Jan. 26 and I work Mon-Fri 3:30pm to 12:05 am. The hours really suck, but they should get better. I do 5 weeks of that schedule, for training, then I am not sure of my hours, but it will be daytime. It's with a company called Convergys who does customer service contracting with AT&T. Specifically, I'll be on a headset all day answering calls from people complaining about AT&T wireless problems. Fun fun fun. Not nearly enough money to hear people complain all day, but I'm just hoping to suck it up long enough to find something else. Tegan will be going to daycare across the street (literally) from 3:00-5:30 when Charles gets off work. And this brings me to the bad news...

We won't be able to have Tegan's birthday party in AL like we planned. I work until 12:05am Friday night and would have to leave early Saturday just to make it down there on time for her planned noon Saturday party. Then leave the next day to come back so Charles can be at work Monday. So, I think it will just be Tegan, Charles, my mom and I here for the weekend having a small family party. Some cupcakes and such. It really breaks my heart that this job is the reason Tegan won't have a big 1st birthday, but there really is no other way around it. :( I really need this job and I am not allowed any days off from training. If anyone wants to come visit sometime in February just let us know and we'll figure out a weekend. I wish I could just tell everyone to come up here but we just don't have room to host many people. I will take lots of pictures and video so everyone can see though, and hopefully that will make up for it.

Here are some recent videos of her walking and clapping!

Charles swears she's going to be a breakdancer...which is why she is donning the outfit...

A few leftover pics from Christmas...

Finally got the rest of our holiday pics..Here they are!
Other than new pictures, not a whole lot to update. Just lots of crawling and attempting to walk. She is up to 8 steps at a time before she crashes.

Playing with Lambchop!

Checkin' out the camera!

No earrings....

Earrings!!!

It has gotten harder and harder to get her on camera smiling. Not because she isn't smiling much, but because she is getting more and more curious about the camera and the quickest way to get it in her mouth. So these will have to do for now...

2 other updates...

I forgot to update this last time....shame on me!! Tegan get her ears pierced over the Christmas holidays and she is now sporting a pair of amethyst studs in her ears!! Once I get a photo of her where you can see them I will add it! And in other news...Tegan is also WEANED!! Yay!! She is now officially 11 months old and no longer breastfeeding. Did I mention YAY!? I'm so glad I was able to breastfeed as long as I was, but I must say it's nice to have my independence back. :) She is drinking infant formula from her sippy cup 4 times a day now and still chowing down on chunky foods. Less than one month and my baby becomes a TODDLER!! Ahhhh...

Christmas and a whole New Year...

I am finally getting around to posting about Christmas. We have been so busy I haven't had time to sit down and blog...but here I am alas. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning here in TN so we could be here as a family, and let Tegan have her Christmas morning here! Santa came a little early and she got to open her presents Christmas Eve afternoon so that she would have time to play with them before leaving for AL Christmas Day. And she LOVES her presents! Yay for us! We made lots of stops in Birmingham to see Charles' family and friends, then headed to my mom's for our Christmas celebration on Friday. It was lots of fun as always and we all left with more presents than expected. Our little baby girl took her first steps on Dec. 26th!! She was standing in front of me by herself so I stuck my arms out and she took 3 little wobbly steps and fell into my arms. The only people who saw it were me and my mom, but Tegan was cooperative and showed off her new skills several more times before we left. She is now up to 5 steps at a time! And only 1 month until her 1st birthday!! Wow I just can't believe it. So proud of her!! Other than that, I don't think I have a whole lot to update. Oh yeah, and Charles taught her how to "high-five" today. I suppose that's a big accomplishment. haha! So here are some pictures of our holidays!

Tegan was NOT having Santa. At all.
it's a terrible picture, but you get the idea...

And this is her on the way back. Santa wore her OUT!

Opening her presents! With her bounce and spin zebra...

Grandma's house!
I promise Charles was there...he was the one taking these pictures. We actually have family pics on my mom's camera but I don't have them yet. Will post when I get them! :)And with her favorite toy of the night...ribbons.
