Turkey time is coming...

I don't know about you, but we are getting  excited about the holidays. Me and Tegan mostly, but Charles joins in in the excitement occasionally! I bought Tegan's Christmas outfit today and it is SOOO cute! It has a white long-sleeved onesie with a black bow around the neck, with a matching black-and-white hounds-tooth  skirt (we're getting her tights to go under it), and a matching hounds-tooth beret. And a red sweater to go over it. It's adorable, I can't wait to see her in it! I plan on putting the tree up this week, hopefully. Once I get a few more large present boxes! Why would I need large boxes you may ask? TEGAN!!! She will eat our tree, and the ornaments, and the presents beneath it. I'm filling these large boxes with heavy items and surrounding our tree with them, to prevent my little tasmanian devil from consuming the sparkly wonders. I did some more Christmas shopping today, so all-in-all I'm almost done.

Charles graduated his super hard training class last week! SOOO proud of him!! Tegan and I made it through his graduation just fine. Tegan WORE ME OUT though! My gosh...it was almost impossible to keep her in my lap and QUIET for an hour! Whew..I needed a nap afterward. Charles endured 5 weeks of the 2nd hardest training the Army has to offer, just 2nd to SEER school, which he unfortunately will have to do also here soon. He starts Air Assault school tomorrow, then he leaves for Fort Benning for Airborne school in Janurary. Air Assault is 10 days and it's done here at Ft. Campbell and Airborne is 3 weeks. He will be at Ft. Benning the same time as my brother! Which, by the way, my awesome brother graduates basic training Dec. 4th so I'm really excited to get to see him over Christmas...I know he's ready to be done. Can't wait to see my 2 favorite soldiers over the holidays!

We are going to AL for Thanksgiving! Yay! Excited to see everyone as always! We are planning on visiting B'ham people (mostly Charles' family) on Thursday then seeing my family Friday. It should be fun but I know me and Charles are both dreading getting in a car. It seems like we've been traveling sooo much lately. We were in Destin 2 weeks ago for my Sonya's wedding and that was a brutal drive! Appx. 9-10 hours. Ahhh! Luckily 4 hours sounds awesome in comparison. Other than getting excited about the holidays, I've been watching in amazement at how fast my little turkey is growing. I just can't believe it. I'm pretty sure she'll be walking by Christmas. She had her 9 month (belated) check-up Friday and she weighed in at 20.4 lbs and 27 1/2 in. long. A good turkey size! haha! the doctor said she looked wonderful, so she sent us on our way with just a flu shot! So she and I both got our flu shots this week. She was the only baby in the 9 month group that was there without a tooth yet. She does have one that finally seems to be coming along...I can feel it with my finger so I'm thinking it's only a matter of time before you can really see it! She's been eating more solid food these days. She loves chunks of banana! MmmMMM! She is just waking up from a nap right now, so I'm going to go get her. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Pictures to come...for some reason they won't upload at the moment.

Our favorite soldier!

Me and Tegie after graduation

Happy 9 month birthday Tegie!!

Tegan's First Halloween!

Sorry I've been so slow at updating!! I've been out of a blogging mood lately, but I finally got around to doing a new post...

Tegie's first Halloween went pretty well! We actually didn't take her trick-or-treating or anything, just dressed her up and stayed at the house and gave out candy while watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" (One of my favorites!) Tegan and I also watched "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad" yesterday, which is a classic!! I was so thrilled to see them actually air it on TV! Charles and the rest of his group was let out of training early yesterday so they could go home to their families for Halloween, so we ate some pizza and just had a nice family night for once! He's been so terribly busy with his training it's been hard to find time together. He normally doesn't get home until around 7, if he even gets to come home at all. This is also Tegan's bedtime so needless to say he barely gets to see her. Thankfully, his graduation is 1 week from Wednesday and he will be done with this crazy stuff. He is finished with the hard part so this last week shouldn't be too bad on him we hope. Unfortunately he is being sent back to MOS school to pick a different job. Apparently his time in Baltimore (uh, 3 months!) was a waste. The Army mistakenly put him with the unit he is in, then found out they don't even use people with his job. So instead of sending him somewhere else (and possibly moving!), they are just going to give him a different job and he can stay with his group. We're very happy about this!!! But not so much about him having to leave for another few months. We will cross that bridge when we get to it though.

Tegan is crawling like a maniac. She can practically run on her hands and knees. It's scary how quickly she catches up with me when I walk out of the room. I leave the living room to throw away trash, turn around, and she's at my feet. How does she do it?! I think she's getting ready to walk also. She is walking all around the room holding onto the furniture so I think it's just a matter of time before she ventures off on her own. She is growing like a weed everyday! Her new favorite activity is to bounce on her butt while she's sitting down. Usually while yelling. It's pretty entertaining to watch. I'll try to get it on video, but it's hard. Once she sees that camera she wants her hands on it. She turns 9 months old on Tuesday, Election day! Only 3 more months and my baby is going to be a year old. Please be prepared for me having occasional and more frequent panic attacks come February. I just can't believe she's already this big!! Ahhhh! Anyways, so today we went to get portraits done!! We took some family portraits and some Christmas portraits, as well as just some of Tegan by herself. She was such a HAM for the photographer!! Me and Charles can hardly get her to laugh that much! She literally grinned from ear to ear the entire time we were in there! We definitely got our money's worth! So, without further ado, here are some of our portraits and some Halloween shots as well! We aren't including the Christmas picture we ordered, it's a surprise! But it's adorable!!! :)

I mean, seriously? HAM!!!!

Still no teeth.
